- An unknown player left a cheeky insult on Palmer's match ball after their game
Hawk-eyed fans spotted an insult on Cole Palmer's match ball following Chelsea's dramatic victory over Manchester United on April 4.
The Blues blew away a two-goal lead but wrestled their way back into the game to win 4-3 thanks to a Palmer brace in stoppage time.
Palmer scored his second penalty of the game after Diogo Dalot had fouled Noni Madueke. He then followed it up seconds later by scoring the winner after a huge deflection from Scott McTominay.
The two goals, added to his first-half penalty, saw the 21-year-old claim his first senior hat-trick. As it is the norm, he was awarded the match ball with his fellow teammates writing messages on it.

Cole Palmer's time at Chelsea
The comment was definitely tongue-in-cheek. Palmer has been nothing short of sensational since he made the surprise switch from Manchester City at the start of the season.
He was worried about the continued lack of game time in Pep Guardiola's star-studded squad, opening up the window for Chelsea to swoop in with a £42.5million deal, as quoted by the Guardian.
He has become one of the Blues success stories in another crisis-ridden season. After his hat-trick, he is now in the conversation in the Golden Boot Race, with only Erling Haaland outscoring him. Palmer has 16 goals and eight assists.
