Nathan Tella’s agent is furious at Finidi George after the interim Super Eagles coach made no attempt to play the Bayer Leverkusen star in Nigeria’s recent international friendlies.
The 24-year-old right winger was one of 26 players invited for Nigeria’s friendly games against Ghana and Mali but did not get to feature for a single minute in both games after being sidelined by Finidi.
According to Own Goal Nigeria, Tella’s agent was not pleased with the actions of Finidi which he claims has technically ruled the Bayer Leverkusen winger from Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers squad in June.
"No reason was given to him (Tella) by the coach. Not even a word of encouragement after the disappointment. He arrived in the camp with his spirit really high but left felling unwanted. He probably has lost the chance of getting into the squad for the world cup qualifiers in June. He will however keep doing his best."
