When Napoli completed Osimhen's signing in September 2020, the deal was valued at €76,356,819. This included an apparent market value as four players made the switch to join Lille as part of the deal.
The value for these players was said to have totalled around €20mil, broken down as follows: Luigi Liguori for €4,071,247, Ciro Palmieri for €7,026,349, Orestis Karnez for €5,128,205, and Claudio Manzi for €4,021,762.
According to investigators, Napoli deliberately inflated the market values in order to help their books.
The publication also reported that if found guilty of wrongdoing in the Osimhen transfer deal, Napoli could be fined or hit with a points deduction.
"There are three possible paths, a new acquittal, a fine, or a slight penalty in the rankings [Serie A table]."
In December 2023, Osimhen signed a new deal with the club, with €130mil etched as his release clause.
