The 2023/24 DStv Premiership is entering the final stretch.

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, broke the record for most clean sheets in a single PSL season. The South Africa captain finished with 18 clean sheets last season, breaking a record that had stood since the 2009/10 season, per iDiski Times.

The 32-year-old was named the best goalkeeper at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, beating Chippa United and Nigeria's Stanley Nwabali.

4. Melusi Buthelezi, Vasilije Kolak, Badra Ali Sangaré - 6 clean sheets

Orlando Pirates' Buthelezi has kept six clean sheets, but has not played any of Bucs' last seven PSL matches. Sipho Chaine has played the last six games in his place. Buthelezi has six clean sheets in 11 matches.

TS Galaxy's Kolak has six clean sheets in 12 matches. The Bosnian played every minute of the first 10 league games but has played twice since then. His team has conceded 14 goals this campaign.

Bvuma did not play a single minute in Kaizer Chiefs' first 12 league matches. Since then, he has played 10 out of 11 games. His seven clean sheets have come in those 10 matches.

Stephens has been in and out of Stellenbosch's team. His seven clean sheets have come in 14 matches. The 32-year-old has prevented Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates from scoring against his team this season.

Mothwa was part of the Bafana Bafana squad that finished third at the 2023 AFCON. The AmaZulu FC goalie has seven clean sheets in 15 matches.

2. Stanley Nwabali, Manuel Sapunga, Darren Keet - 9 clean sheets

Nigeria's 2023 AFCON hero, Nwabali, is doing well at Chippa United this season. He has kept nine clean sheets in 20 appearances this season. Chippa United will need the Super Eagles star to keep more clean sheets to ensure survival.

Sapunga was part of Equatorial Guinea's 2023 AFCON squad but didn't play a single minute. He has kept nine clean sheets for Polokwane City in 16 matches. Their defensive record is in the top five in the PSL.

Keet is one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the PSL. He has nine clean sheets for Cape Town City in 21 matches and has played 21 of his team's 22 games this season. He won the PSL with Bidvest Wits in the 2016/17 season.

The Sundowns star is comfortably on top of the pile with 11 clean sheets in the league. The 32-year-old has only played 15 matches.

Rulani Mokwena's side have only conceded five goals this season in 19 matches. They have 11 games left and are 11 points clear with two games in hand.

Nwabali concedes crown to Williams

Sports Brief earlier reported on Nwabali accepting that Williams deserved to win the AFCON 2023 Golden Glove.

The Nigerian was incredible at the tournament as he conceded four goals, of which three were from open play.
