- Manchester United suffered a dramatic collapse against Chelsea on Thursday
- United were leading 3-2 in the 99th minute, but ended up losing 4-3
- Erik ten Hag has listed a number of things that cost his side the win
Erik ten Hag was a critical figure at full-time after his Manchester United side capitulated against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, April 4.
In what was a Premier League classic, the Blues emerged 4-3 winners in a game which they were losing 3-2 going into stoppage time.
The Red Devils were leading 3-2 with 99 minutes and 17 seconds gone, before Chelsea’s star man Cole Palmer scored two late goals, including his second from the penalty spot, according to BBC.
This was the second time in less than a week that United had squandered a lead late on after drawing 1-1 against Brentford on Saturday, March 30.

Ten Hag blasts his team
After the game, the United boss was predictably angry with the result, and the manner in which his side conceded the goals.
Individual errors
The first two goals United conceded came as a result of individual errors, with Conor Gallagher’s strike creeping under Andre Onana when the goalie was expected to do better.
Chelsea’s second goal also came from carelessness from United as Antony fouled Marc Cucurella in the box.
"Of course, that frustrates me the most," the gaffer said. "We started the game poor, making individual errors.
Decision making
According to Sky Sports, Ten Hag also lamented about his team’s decision-making.

Football“We didn't make the right decisions, we didn't react quick enough to avoid this situation,” he added. “I said today to the players, on decision-making, we have to make better decisions, it's our strength. You saw again how we score from counters - we can be such a massive threat. And we have seen today an example with tempo, how we can beat our opponents, where we are unstoppable.”
Game management
Finally, the United boss talked about game management, as he called out his side for conceding possession cheaply despite the team leading with mere seconds to go.
While acknowledging that his side plays some good football at times, Ten Hag also added, "And then in stoppage time we didn't manage it, we didn't bring the win over the line and of course, that's frustrating.”
What next for Man United?
