Manchester United first-team coach, Benni McCarthy, is the latest to pay tribute to the 24-year-old, who was tragically killed in a hijacking.
As noted by IOL, Fleurs pulled up to a petrol station in Johannesburg when he was approached by two men who demanded he get out of the vehicle.
When he did, one of the men shot him in the chest. He passed away before he could be rushed to a hospital.

Fleurs was called up to the Bafana team in 2021 and 2022, but had yet to make his official debut.
He also had yet to run out in the colours of Chiefs since moving to the club in October 2023 from SuperSport United.
