Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has finally disclosed why he has never been sacked as a manager.

The Spaniard is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers of modern football, thanks to the multiple titles he has won over the period.

Guardiola's largely successful managerial journey spans more than 17 years, and has won more than 40 titles in the process.

The experienced tactician started his career in the dugout in 2007 with Barcelona's B side before he landed a role with the senior team a year later.

The 53-year-old has gone on to manage Bayern Munich and City, spending close to four years with the former before he moved to the Premier League.

Incredibly, the former midfielder has never been sacked in any of the clubs he has managed.

Why Guardiola has never been fired

The five-time Premier League winner recently gave the secret behind his impressive record.

Speaking recently to the press, the Man City boss disclosed that winning games, suggesting that if he lost matches he would be shown the door.

"I will tell you a secret. We win games. If we don't win games, I would be sacked. It's not because my hair is better than the other ones," SPORTbible quoted Pep as saying.
"I'm not sacked because we win a lot of games. In this country, when I was younger, it always had the tradition to keep the managers," he added.

Meanwhile, Guardiola will be looking to help City win more silverware this season, with the club still in contention for the Premier League, Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Why Pep lectures his players on the pitch

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Guardiola explaining why he publicly dresses-down players during matches.

The City boss was in the spotlight for lecturing Jack Grealish last weekend shortly after the clash with Arsenal.
