According to The Mirror, the recent arrival of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS colleagues is set to bring wholesome changes to United, and one of the biggest changes will be reducing Ten Hag’s influence in the club’s transfer activity.
United remain in talks with Newcastle over the appointment of technical director Dan Ashworth, while it also emerged on Monday that a formal approach had been made towards Southampton director of football Jason Wilcox.
Wilcox is renowned for spotting and developing talent, and his addition to the Manchester United hierarchy will come with a reduced say in United’s transfers for Ten Hag.

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival, the United co-owner has never publicly backed Ten Hag, something that has led fans to believe that perhaps a sack is on the cards.
