FootballRejuvenated Chukwueze Backed to Displace Pulisic From AC Milan’s Starting XI
- Sandro Sabatini wants Samuel Chukwueze to displace Christian Pulisic
- The Super Eagles winger has played backup to the American at AC Milan
- Chukwueze joined the Milan giants from Villareal for €19.5m last summer
Samuel Chukwueze is finally hitting his best form for AC Milan after a turbulent first season with the Italian giants that has seen the Super Eagles winger relegated to the bench for most of the campaign.
After a high-profile move to the Rossoneri last summer, the 23-year-old has failed to dazzle in the colours of Milan, leading to him playing as a backup winger behind Christian Pulisic.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, Italian football pundit, Sandro Sabatini, is rooting for Chukwueze to displace Pulisic from AC Milan’s starting eleven next season as he claims the Nigerian has so much potential.
"For me, Chukwueze has quality, he is a technical player that I like very much. For next year I prefer him to Pulisic in perspective, in my opinion he is a boy who has some numbers.

"I know I'm saying something unpopular and I won't argue about the 28 million because then it's necessary to make comparisons."
Chukwueze has scored just three goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for AC Milan this season.
Pioli impressed with rejuvenated Chukwueze
Meanwhile, AC Milan manager, Stefano Pioli was delighted with Chukwueze following the Nigerian winger’s impressive display in the club’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Saturday, Punch NG reports.
Despite not being on the scoresheet, the 23-year-old won four duels, had 44 touches, made two key passes, created one big chance, and had an effort saved by the goalkeeper in a worthy performance.

Chukwueze opens up on struggles
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Chukwueze's life at AC Milan has not been easy after a troubling start in his first season with the Rossoneri.
The Super Eagles winger joined the Serie A giants from Villareal last summer with high expectations, but he has struggled to recreate his success in Italy.
Chukwueze, who scored his first-ever league goal in AC Milan’s 3-1 win at Hellas Verona, admitted is determined to change the narrative following his recent struggles.
