Jesse Lingard’s spell with South Korean outfit FC Seoul could get derailed after a recent wave of criticism from his own manager.
The 31-year-old landed a club earlier this year after months as a free agent as he signed for the South Korean side amid excitement from fans.
However, Lingard is yet to start a game, and the situation could remain the same for if he fails to get into his manager Kim’s good books.

"I don't think a player who doesn't run for a few minutes is a football player.
"If he doesn't fight, and doesn't run better than the player who runs for 90 minutes?"
The new K-League season kicked off a few weeks ago, but Lingard, despite being one of the highest-rated players in the league has only made three appearances which have all come from the bench.
FC Seoul’s latest game was a 1-1 draw against Gangwon, which Lingard missed altogether.
The former Manchester United man has tried to remain positive, as he shared a message to his new teammates prior to the game on Sunday, March 31.
In a subsequent post, Lingard added a message, presumably to his critics, saying he was in an era where he was “focusing on myself”.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Lingard is getting criticized by his manager in South Korea.

"Even though he came on as a substitute, he didn't work hard and avoided tussle,” Kim, 52, said, per SportBible.
"The name value has no meaning on the pitch. I will tell him this exactly."
FC Seoul’s next game is on April 3 when they take on Gincheon Sangmu.
