In major leagues, outcomes such as 11-0, 0-12, 0-13, and 0-14 have been recorded at least once between 2011 and 2023, while the most typical soccer scores are 1-0 and 1-1. As of 2022, the Athletic reported that 19% of all World Cup games resulted in a 1-0 score.

Based on data provided by FootyStats, 0-2 match outcomes account for 4.4% of matches played worldwide. At the time of writing, 13 games in the Premier League have ended in a 0-2 win for the away team. In the same season, eleven matches ended in a 0-2 outcome in France's Ligue 1.
