In major leagues, outcomes such as 11-0, 0-12, 0-13, and 0-14 have been recorded at least once between 2011 and 2023, while the most typical soccer scores are 1-0 and 1-1. As of 2022, the Athletic reported that 19% of all World Cup games resulted in a 1-0 score.

Thousands of games have ended in 3-0, making it one of the most likely scores in football. In over 300,000 matches, the outcome was recorded 12,645 times in over 1,500 soccer leagues. In the 2023/24 season, the EPL, Serie A and Bundesliga recorded 3-0 results in 16, 13, and 10 games, respectively, as of April 2024.

Based on data provided by FootyStats, 0-2 match outcomes account for 4.4% of matches played worldwide. At the time of writing, 13 games in the Premier League have ended in a 0-2 win for the away team. In the same season, eleven matches ended in a 0-2 outcome in France's Ligue 1.

Four-goal outcomes in a 2-2 score line occur in 4.7% of matches. In the 2022/23 season, 19 games in the Bundesliga recorded 2-2 outcomes. According to SkySports, a 2-0 lead is one of the most favourable winning margins in the Premier League, but only 26 games in the 2022/23 season ended 2-0.

La Liga recorded only twenty-four 2-0 wins during the 2022/23 season. In Serie A, FC Internazionale marked the start of the 2023/24 season with a 2-0 win against AC Monza, as reported by SkySports. As of March 2024, there have been 21 such outcomes in Serie A.

A study by FC Barcelona acknowledged that the 0-1 outcome occurred in 7.6% of the Premier League games between the 2000/01 and 2010/11 seasons.
