Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandes believes Senegalese defender Mikayil Faye is ready for first-team football following his impressive display during the international break.

The 19-year-old made his Senegal debut in the international friendly against Gabon, scoring a belter in the 3-0 victory in France.

Xavi has included the teen sensation in his squad for the game against Las Palmas at the Camp Nou on Saturday.

“If I see him ready to play with the Barça first team? Yes. He has already played friendly matches with us during the pre-season. He is a competent player. He has good qualities in ball exits, he is aggressive, fast. He meets the conditions to participate and help us at some point.
