Jobe Bellingham’s blunt statement
Speaking after the game, Bellingham was quite honest about his playing position when the topic came up.
According to talkSPORT, the Birmingham academy graduate has had to play as a make-shift forward for Sunderland in recent months due to the club’s shortage of attacking power.
Before that, he was primarily playing in an attacking midfield role.
His adaptability for his team when they need him has earned him plaudits online, with fans lauding him for showing maturity for an 18-year-old.
The fact that he admitted he did not know his playing position also warmed fans' hearts.
"At the minute, I'm just learning really, because I have no idea what position I am,” he said, as quoted on SportBible.
The youngster went on to admit he was not too pressed about where the manager placed him on the pitch and was simply happy to help the team either way.

FootballHe went on: "I suppose it's quite exciting in a way because I'll find out as the years go on. I'll find out what I enjoy doing most.
"But it's up to the coaches to figure out where my attributes fit the team best. I'm not arsed where I play really, but as long as I'm in red and white that's fine."
Jobe is the younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, and fans have marvelled at how the two have eerily similar styles of play.
His seven-goal haul for Sunderland is the highest for an 18-year-old in the second tier since Harvey Elliot, who netted the same number of goals for Blackburn Rovers in 2020/21.
