Players unhappy with Finidi

However, while many fans and stakeholders have continued to scrutinise and air their opinions regarding the prowess and ability of the former Real Betis star to coach the Super Eagles team, a report of a rift between a select group of players and the interim coach has surfaced.

Reports claim that select players of the Nigerian team, including Sadiq Umar and two others who remain unidentified, are reportedly displeased with the interim coach.

How Nigeria lost to Mali

Sports Brief earlier reported that the Super Eagles of Nigeria ended their run of friendly games with a defeat against Mali.

In what was anticipated as a classic 'David vs Goliath' encounter, the Nigerian team faced a formidable challenge from Les Aigles and ultimately succumbed to a two-nil loss.

Goals from forward, El Bilal Toure, and Brest star, Kamory Doumbia, ensured the Super Eagles were dealt their first loss since the departure of former coach, Jose Peseiro.
