  • Alphonso Davies could be heading to Real Madrid soon
  • Davies has reportedly refused to extend his Bayern deal
  • His current deal with the Bavarians expires next summer

Real Madrid supporters are buzzing with excitement following reports that Alphonso Davies has chosen not to prolong his tenure with Bayern Munich.

Despite being a key cog in Thomas Tuchel's plans as the season reaches its climax, he has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid either in the upcoming summer transfer window or the next.

However, Bayern has reportedly been applying pressure on the Canadian full-back's representatives to extend his contract, which is set to expire on June 30, 2025.

Additional reports suggest the Bavarians issued an ultimatum to Davies - commit to a new deal promptly or face being put on the transfer market during the upcoming window.

Nedal Huoseh, who has been representing the star since he was 15, expressed his discontent with Bayern's approach, stating to BILD, as quoted by Forbes, that the club was being unfair.

"We will assess our options at the end of the season when there is more clarity. It's unjust that Alphonso is facing such pressure," Huoseh added.

Meanwhile, renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has suggested the 23-year-old is not inclined to sign a contract extension with Bayern at present, with the La Liga giants being informed of the developments.

He further suggests that a resolution will be reached in the coming weeks, but tensions remain high between the club and the player.

Should an agreement on an extension fail to materialise, Davies will depart the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
