Otto Addo insists the international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda has been a 'good learning cure' for the Black Stars despite being unable to win a game.

Ghana lost 2-1 to the Super Eagles before they were held to a 2-2 draw against Uganda on Tuesday.

Addo, a former Ghana player, was reappointed coach of the Black Stars early this month following the sacking of Chris Hughton.

He is expected to lead the Black Stars back to the Africa Cup of Nations as well as qualify for the World Cup in 2026.

"It was a good learning curve today, there were some good parts but in all surely, it’s way too less to play 2-2 against Uganda, we expected more even though a lot of players were missing, I don’t have to say," he told the FA's official website.
"But we could have done better. We were a little bit unlucky with the two goals against us – with the penalty and the second one I don’t know if it was even a goal. But in all the football we played was not good enough, we should have created more chances, especially in the final third.
"We have to work on creating more chances, finishing must be better under pressure; it’s a lot of work, a lot of work. But I have to say that this is what I expected because, to be honest, the last few games in general even before I came have not been good but it’s a process."

The Black Stars will face Mali and the Central African Republic in June when the World Cup qualifiers return, per US Soccerway.

Ghana draw with Uganda in friendly

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana's winless run continued after the Black Stars were held to a pulsating 2-2 draw by Uganda in an international friendly in Morocco.

Goals from Jerome Opoku and Jordan Ayew were cancelled by Steven Mukwala and Shaban Muhammad as the two sides shared the spoils.

The Black Stars got off to a brilliant start after Opoku rose high to head home from a Jordan Ayew corner kick after just six minutes.
