The debate got heated when one X user, a Chelsea fan, said he would build a team around Drogba instead of Henry. The Tweet received thousands of comments, with many making their case for both players.

Henry won a World Cup and a European title with France, while Drogba fell short at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Barcelona striker played in a Golden Generation. The Chelsea legend couldn't win a continental crown despite playing in one of Africa's greatest teams.

Therefore, this comparison will focus on their club career, stats, and accolades.

Drogba's club career

The 46-year-old was in his prime at Chelsea. It is important to note that Drogba started his top-flight career at 23 years old, when French side Guingamp signed him from Ligue 2 Le Mans in January 2002, per BBC. At this point, Henry was a World Cup and European champion.

He joined Chelsea 18 months later, ushering in a new era at the club under Roman Abramovich.

His first three Premier League titles came in his first eight seasons at the club. The former Galatasaray striker also won four FA Cups and two League Cups.

Drogba left the club after scoring the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

After a brief spell at Shanghai Shenhua and Galatasaray, he returned to Chelsea and won his fourth and last league title in the 2014/15 season. He left the club as the fourth-highest scorer ever.

The Ivorian scored 164 goals in 381 games for the London club. In addition, he won two Premier League Golden Boots in 2006/07 and 2009/10.

Drogba scored in the FA Cup final in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2012, all of which Chelsea won. In those finals, he scored against Manchester United, Everton, Portsmouth, and Liverpool, per Transfermarkt.

Moreover, he found the net in four League Cup finals in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2015. The Blues won all those finals against Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur twice.

Henry's club career

The Frenchman is considered the best Premier League player of all time. His spell at Arsenal from 1999 to 2007 saw him become the club's all-time top scorer.

Before joining Arsenal, he had made his name in Monaco, where he helped them win the Ligue 1 title in 1997. He was an unused substitute in the 1998 World Cup final, where France beat Brazil 3-0. He scored three goals in Euro 2000 as France became champions.

The Frenchman scored 176 goals in 258 Premier League appearances. He won the Premier League's Golden Boot in the 2001/02 season, then three straight times in 2003/04, 2004/05, and 2005/06. Only eight players have scored more Premier League goals than him.

Henry won the Premier League in 2002 and 2004 and three FA Cup crowns.

He left the club in 2007 to join Barcelona. He won his only Champions League title in 2009 alongside Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o at the club.

The former Monaco star won two La Liga titles, the UEFA Super Cup and two Spanish Super Cups.

Henry played in three FA Cup finals and didn't score in any of them. He also didn't score in the two Champions League finals he played. One of those finals was in 2006, when the Gunners lost to his future club, Barcelona.

Comparing Salah, Drogba Eto'o

Sports Brief earlier compared Mohamed Salah, Drogba, and Eto'o.

The three African stars are always ranked in the top 10 lists of African greatest players of all time.

Salah has closed the gap on Drogba and Eto'o and could be Africa's greatest player when he retires.
