According to Metro UK, the Three Lions went on to suffer a 1-0 during the match that was played on Saturday, March 23, at Wembley Stadium.

Despite England coming up short against the Brazil national team, Mainoo, who came on as a sub in the 75th minute when he replaced Conor Gallagher put in an impressive show that attracted praise from several players.

The wonderkid gelled so well with the rest of the Gareth Southgate squad, managing to complete all 20 of his passes.

Mainoo, who seemingly got one of his dreams fulfilled, took on his social media to express how important that opportunity was to him and his football career.

After the game, Mainoo posted on Instagram:

"Special feeling making my senior England debut at Wembley and in front of my family. A moment I will never forget. Now we bounce back and refocus for Tuesday."

His post sparked messages of praise from fans and footballers, with his United skipper, Fernandes, leading in congratulating the youngster.

“Well deserved kid @Kobbie,” Fernandes wrote.

Manchester United defenders Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire also congratulated Mainoo.
