South African coach, Pitso Mosimane, is still on the radar of Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs, but there are some factors that Amakhosi could face in luring him to the club.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns boss is currently managing Abha Club in the Saudi Professional League.

Mosimane signed a short-term deal with the Leaders of the South and has been tipped to leave the club at the end of this season.

With the former Al Ahly coach potentially being available this summer, Sports Brief takes a look at some of the challenges Kaizer Chiefs could face in luring the 59-year-old.

Challenges Chiefs could face in Mosimane's pursuit

1. Can Amakhosi afford 'Jingles'

For Kaizer Chiefs to be able to poach Mosimane at the end of the season, they need to put in place a financial plan that would bring in top players to the club.

Mosimane's agent confirmed in a recent interview that the South African coach's priority is to stay in the Saudi League as they could afford the kind of big players he can work with.

2. Handing Pitso complete control of technical matters

Mosimane has a principle of being fully involved in technical matters of all the clubs he has worked with, especially when it comes to buying players.

He is not a fan of being told how to do his work or board members interfering in his coaching role.

3. The challenge of paying for Mosimane's backroom staff

Aside from commanding a huge salary, the former Sundowns boss always prefers working with his backroom staff, which comes with a big financial commitment.

Coaches bringing backroom staff are uncommon in the South African league, but Kaizer Chiefs would have to make an exception if they want Mosimane as their new coach.

Pitso Mosimane wins FIFA case

Sports Brief previously reported that Mosimane won a FIFA case against Al Ahli and is expected to get millions of Rands in compensation.

He alleged that the club had not fulfilled their earlier agreement to pay him an R2.8 million incentive if they were promoted to the SPL.

The club had reportedly agreed to pay him an additional R1.4 million if he won the division title.
