  • Kylian Mbappe aimed a brutal dig at William Saliba before a training session in France
  • The two are part of Didier Deschamps' squad set to play against Germany and Chile
  • Mbappe has previously rejected Arsenal's overtures, with a Real Madrid move expected

Kylian Mbappe's cheeky 'dislike' of Arsenal and its players has continued after the forward was heard taking a swipe at William Saliba.

Mbappe and Saliba linked up this week at France's training camp in Clairefontaine-en-Yvelines ahead of their March set of friendly matches.

Didier Deschamps' side will take on Euro 2024 hosts, Germany, before playing Chile next week.

What did Mbappe say to Saliba?

As the players went out for a session, Mbappe was spotted talking to Saliba, with the former questioning why the Arsenal defender only had one pair of shoes.

"I'm going to call Nike, I'm going to call Nike; you always wear the same shoes," the skipper said as translated by Daily AFC.

The comment comes a few days after a video of Mbappe rejecting a transfer to Arsenal surfaced online. The 25-year-old cited weather conditions. He is expected to quit Paris Saint-Germain this summer and move to Spain.

Can Mbappe face Arsenal this season?

Mbappe and Saliba could meet in club football this season should both Arsenal and PSG reach the latter stages of the Champions League. The two sides were drawn on opposite wings and could only meet in the final.

PSG will need to see off Barcelona in the quarter-finals before beating the winner of the Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund to reach their second final in history.

The Gunners, on the other hand, will need to beat six-time champions, Bayern Munich, in the last eight, with one of the defending champions, Manchester City or record winners, Real Madrid, waiting for them in the semi-finals.

Enrique: I could rest Mbappe vs Barcelona

Sports Brief has also reported that PSG head coach, Luis Enrique, has joked about benching Mbappe for the Barcelona tie.

The Spanish tactician was asked what it would take to have the forward play as a centre-back, but he gave an even better answer.

The Champions League clash between the two giants will see Enrique face his former club for the first time since he left in 2017.
