Stellenbosch FC's Steve Barker has opened up on Jayden Adams' future with the Maroons amid reports linking him with a move to PSL rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Bafana Bafana midfielder is one of the best players in the DStv Premiership this season, which has led to top clubs monitoring his progress with the Stellies.
The Stellenbosch FC player was also part of the South African national team squad that finished third at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

"I don't think it is the right time to entertain Adams' exit; we have to concentrate on what we need to do in the short term, which is to have a solid season," he said.
"Players like Jayden are important to us, and we need him to be focused, be with us, be present until the end of the season, and then we will see what happens."
In 23 appearances in the South African league this season, Adams has scored three goals and provided two assists.
After missing out on the final cut, the South African midfielder will not be part of Bafana Bafana's squad for the upcoming friendly games against Algeria and Andorra.
