The Black Satellites of Ghana are through to the final of the African Games after beating reigning U20 champions Senegal in the semi-final in Accra.
Second-half substitute Michael Ephson's strike with four minutes remaining was enough as the host continued their pursuit of gold at the multisport competition.
Ghana, who finished top of Group A, started the game the better of the two sides at the Accra Sports stadium, creating early chances that were missed by Jerry Afriyie and Abdul Aziz Issah.
Just before half-time, Senegal pulled a great save from the Ghanaian goalkeeper after a powerful drive from outside the box by a Senegalese midfielder.

Both sides went into the break failing to break the deadlock, leading to early second-half substitutions. Ghana coach Desmond Offei then threw in three players Michael Ephson, Maxwell Azafokpe and Kelvin Nkrumah for David Amuzu, Aziz Issah, and Abdul Sulemana with 15 minutes remaining.
Ten minutes later, Ephson pounced on a poor save from the Senegalese goalkeeper to give Ghana victory.
The Black Satellites will now face Uganda, who beat Congo 4-2 in the other semi-final on Friday for the ultimate.
Uganda beat Congo to reach final
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Uganda reached the final of the African Games after beating Congo 4-2 in Accra on Tuesday evening.

Sports Brief also reported that the Ghana U20 female team took inspiration from West Ham United star, Mohammed Kudus, as they defeated Senegal to reach the final of the African Games.
The Black Princesses strolled to a 3-1 win at the Cape Coast stadium to set up a clash with the Super Falconets of Nigeria in the final.
The team is guaranteed a medal at the competition following their outstanding run at the championship held in Ghana.
