According to Sky Sports, Eriksen moved to the Theatre of Dreams after he turned down a permanent stay at Brentford, where he was on loan at the time.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star formed an important part of Erik ten Hag's midfield last season alongside Casemiro.

However, he has seen his playing time reduced in recent months, with the emergence of youngster Kobbie Mainoo further complicating his place in the team.

Eriksen unhappy at Man United

The ex-Inter Milan star has now come out to admit that he is unhappy at Old Trafford, with the concession hinting at a possible exit.

Speaking to Tipsbladet, Eriksen further added that he has already expressed his displeasure with ten Hag about his lack of playing time.

"I have previously stated that I am not satisfied with not playing, but it's not something that keeps me up at night. The team is performing, and I must respect the role you have alongside. For my part, it has been about working hard and focusing on being fresh for every game, and I am. It is easier now to accept my role than it would have been before," he said.
"I have had a conversation with Erik (ten Hag, ed.) about being unhappy with the situation and wanting to play as much as possible, but I am available and need to be available for the team, which I am and always will be," he continued.

Eriksen gives fans a health scare

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on how Eriksen gave fans a scare when he went down during Manchester United's game against Aston Villa on December 26.

The Boxing Day action at Old Trafford was an absolute thriller, with the Red Devils completing an incredible comeback to win 3-2.
