Raheem Sterling is having a day to forget in the colours of Chelsea.
The English international’s performance for the Blues in the FA Cup fixture against Leicester has been so poor that even his own fans have begun to boo him.
The former Man City player had a chance to give his side a two-goal lead in the 26th minute when he was brought down in the box. Sterling stepped up to take the kick but didn’t look comfortable at any stage of it, and the keeper pushed away his tame effort.

Things didn’t get easier for the England international as he missed another chance to double his side’s lead and then got in the way of a teammate's shot, which was goalward-bound.
He did grab an assist in the half, setting up Cole Palmer’s goal.
Sterling’s atrocious freekick attempt
If Sterling had hoped his bad luck would end in the first half, he would have been sadly mistaken.
Chelsea were given a freekick on the edge of the box when Callum Doyle brought down Nicolas Jackson.
Despite missing the penalty in the first half, Sterling took over freekick duties and blasted it horribly wide. Even the commentators joked that the rugby stadium Twickenham was down the road from Stamford Bridge.
Fans turn on Sterling
Naturally, his performance didn’t sit well with supporters, as those in the stadium and those watching at home, turned on the Englishman.

”This Sterling performance is up there with one of the worst I've seen. Imagine getting booed after taking a freekick. 😭😭”
