- The 63-year-old has commenced talks with another African nation, according to a recent report
Jose Peseiro appears resolute on his decision to not continue in his role as coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Portuguese tactician left his post after failing to reach an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on a contract extension.
Swirling reports had hinted the 63-year-old was demanding remuneration in the region of $120,000, while the NFF were holding out to pay the Portuguese a salary closer to $80,000.
This contract stand-off ultimately resulted in both parties' separation after a 22-month tenure. The NFF has since wasted no time in advertising the vacant coaching role across social media.

The report confirms that coach Peseiro would likely earn a salary of $ 100,000. This report of the manager being in contract talks with the Cameroon FA, follows Peseiro's own confirmation to Sports Italia that his time with the Nigerian national team has ended.
The report concludes by stating that the FECAFOOT president, Samuel Etoo, is in talks with the Cameroon government over the salary demands of Peseiro.
It remains to be seen if a deal can be reached and Peseiro will be officially announced as the new manager of the Indomitable Lions.
