Raheem Sterling’s career could be set for another twist as Chelsea are reportedly prepared to lose him in the summer.

The 29-year-old has been in decent form for the Blues amid a poor season, netting eight goals and nine assists across all competitions.

Despite his performances, the Blues could be forced to part ways with him in a bid to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Since the arrival of new owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in the summer of 2022, Chelsea has splurged big money on mega signings.

As a result, this has made Chelsea’s work in trying to adhere to financial regulations harder.

Todd Boehly’s meeting

According to Daily Mail, Boehly recently met up with the director of the Saudi Pro League Michael Emenalo in Riyadh. The meeting only fuelled speculation of a possible second exodus of Chelsea stars to the Middle East.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy are two big names who were sold by Chelsea to Al Hilal and Al-Ahli respectively last summer for a fee, while N’Golo Kante left the Blues for Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.

Sterling is not the only Chelsea star on the chopping block.

Sports Mole reports that as many as six players could leave the West Londoners at the end of the current season, including Romelu Lukaku, who is on loan at Roma in the Serie A.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Cucurella are other big names set for a summer exit.
