- Gabriel Osho is poised to make his first appearance in international football
- The defender is among the list of players invited for the Super Eagles games
- Luton Town's coach has cast doubt on the availability of the combative defender
The Super Eagles team list by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the March International window has sparked considerable excitement for several reasons.
While the list was released without an undersigned coach attached, the squad list also features the addition of two players who are yet to feature before the Nigerian team - Luton Town star, Gabriel Osho, and Tanzania League defender, Gabriel Tanimu.
The 26-year-old Osho, who is poised to represent the Super Eagles, becomes the latest on the list of Nigeria-eligible players who had opted to ditch playing for the Three Lions of England, in favour of Nigeria.
While the choice by Osho might have thrilled many, fans of the Super Eagles might have to wait a little longer to watch the combative defender make his debut for the Nigerian team, as the Luton Town star suffered an injury in the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

Osho suffers injury
According to a report from Luton Today, the 26-year-old seems to have suffered a significant knee injury during his team's draw at Selhurst Park.
The report highlights that the coach of the club, Rob Edwards, when quizzed about the injury suffered by the defender, stated a recovery date for the defender is yet to be confirmed. He highlighted that the injury is not as bad as initially feared.
The report concludes by emphasising that there is no definite timeline for the defender's recovery.
These comments by coach Edwards raise doubts about the defender's availability for the Super Eagles.
Three Nigerian coaches who could succeed the departing Jose Peseiro
FootballIt's worth noting that if Osho doesn't recover in time for the upcoming matches against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, it's unlikely he'll be fit for the Super Eagles' international friendlies.
Nonetheless, the recovery situation of the defender remains one scenario the NFF has to keep a close watch on.
Jose Peseiro responsible for Super Eagles list
In another report, Sports Brief stated that former Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, is responsible for selecting Nigeria's team list for the upcoming March International window.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to play against both Mali and the Black Stars of Ghana in Morocco.
However, the Football Federation are yet to announce a new coach to lead the Nigerian team.
