Former Bafana Bafana striker, Lungisani Ndlela, has ventured into the career of a prison warden years after quitting his career as a professional footballer for South Africa.
The 44-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns player had gone viral online after he was pictured in his correctional services uniform where he works as a warden in Mpumalanga.
According to Wikipedia, Ndlela featured nine times for Bafana Bafana and also had stints with Pretoria University, Maroka Swallows, SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, and United FC.
Standing at two meters, the former United FC forward is regarded as one of the tallest footballers during his active days and was part of the team that represented South Africa in the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup B.

Ndlela offers advice to strikers
Meanwhile, Ndlela believes tall strikers are no longer given the platform to shine by today’s coaches due to the emergence of “false nines” in modern football, Sowetan Live reports.
The 44-year-old footballer turned prison warden, understands what it feels like to stand tall alone, but believes that players who have similar traits to him are still around in the game.
Ndlela notes that tall strikers offer more than just scoring goals as they are very good in terms of hold-up plays and can help their teams in defending corners if the need be.
