Vinicius Jr is in the headlines once again.

The Real Madrid star has had issues controlling his temper on the field of play recently and was again penalised for his actions.

The Brazilian was shown a yellow card after he angrily reacted to having his shirt pulled.

Vinicius was sprinting toward goal from the halfway line when Óscar Mingueza pulled him back. The Celta player held onto the back of Vini’s shirt until he brought him down.

While Mingueza was shown a yellow for his actions, Vini also received a card for his retaliation. The winger got up and charged at the Celta man, pushing him, as well, to the ground.

Vinicius escapes red card against RB Leipzig

The Brazilian was also in the news not too long ago for putting his hands on a player.

As noted by GOAL, Vinicius landed himself in hot water when he put his hands around Willi Orban’s throat. The incident happened during the UEFA Champions League game between Madrid and RB Leipzig.

To add insult to injury, Vinicius scored a goal not long after escaping punishment, a goal which saw Madrid progress to the next round.

The incident didn’t sit well with a few of Leipzig’s players, including Benjamin Henrichs.

"If one of our players went for the neck of a Real Madrid player, he'd be sent off 100%."

Why Vinicius wasn’t punished for throat grab?

Sports Brief previously explained what the law says about grabbing someone by the neck after Vinicius' incident against RB Leipzig.

The Real Madrid winger was lucky not to be shown a red card after he grabbed Willi Orban around the throat during the game.

The Brazilian was only shown a yellow card, and then still went on to score Madrid’s only goal not long after the incident.
