Bruno Fernandes has finally opened up on why he allowed Marcus Rashford to take Manchester United's second penalty against Everton.
The duo was on target during the Saturday cracker staged at Old Trafford as United stunned the Toffees 2-0.
The result saw the Red Devils return to winning ways, having previously lost their Premier League clash against rivals Manchester City.
Erik ten Hag's charges were, therefore, desperate to return to winning ways against Everton to increase their chances of finishing in the top four at the end of the season.

Why Rashford took United's second penalty
Fernandes stepped up to convert United's first penalty in the 13th minute before Rashford got the job done from the spot late in the first half.
Bruno's decision to allow Rashford to take the penalty sparked a conversation, with fans wondering why he did not take it himself.
However, the Portuguese midfielder has come out to clarify the incident and said:
"We both kick the penalties. I asked Marcus if he wanted to take and he said he was confident," Fernandes told TNT Sport via Metro UK when asked why he handed penalty-taking duties to his teammate.
"He is one of the penalty takers that the manager chooses. I felt I had my one, Rashy could get his goal from the penalty," he added.
