FootballVictor Osimhen: William Gallas Explains Why Nigerian Striker Won’t Make Any Difference at Chelsea
- Victor Osimhen is the major subject of the transfer window ahead of the summer
- The Nigerian international is on the radar of several clubs, including Chelsea FC
- William Gallas has stated that signing the 25-year-old alone won't make a difference
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has disclosed that signing Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, will not make any difference at the club.
The Blues have continued to struggle this season as they occupy 11th position on the Premier League standings.
Chelsea are on the verge of missing out on European football next season, but they are all out to sign a proven striker.
Since Todd Boehly bought the Stamford Bridge outfit about 18 months ago, the English club have splashed out over €1 billion on players alone.

Despite the spending spree, they have been dismal on the pitch, winning no trophies and finishing 12th last season.
Stakeholders have blamed the lack of firepower in the squad and now they are in search of a top striker.
After helping Napoli to the 2022/2023 Serie A title with 26 league goals, Victor Osimhen has been heavily linked with the club.
But the legendary Gallas says the Nigerian would not be able to turn things around on his own. Gallas, who also had a stint with Arsenal Football Club told Lord Ping:
“Victor Osimhen to Chelsea? One player won’t make the difference and change things around for Chelsea.
“Even if they buy one striker, you have to be sure the players around him have the quality to supply that striker.
“The squad is very young, so next year we may see an improvement in the team, and they might compete for the Premier League."
