FootballVictor Osimhen vs Ivan Toney: Onyeka Picks Better Striker Between Napoli, Brentford Stars
- Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney are two of the most in-demand strikers
- Many of Europe's elite clubs are reportedly chasing the duo of forwards
- Brentford midfielder, Frank Onyeka, has outlined both players' qualities
Frank Onyeka is the only midfielder who has had the privilege of playing with Europe’s most wanted strikers, Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney.
The Super Eagles midfielder has now shared his insights into both of their qualities.
Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have all been strongly linked to both superstar strikers ahead of the summer transfer window as they seek to strengthen their squads for the 2024/25 season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Onyeka, who was featured in every game alongside Osimhen in Nigeria’s silver medal run at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, described the Napoli forward as a fighter who always wants to win.

"He's a really good guy but he's someone that wants to win. He doesn't like to lose, even in training. He always wants to push players around him and try to encourage them. He's a fighter.
"He's always there to help the team, fight for the team. Even when the team is down, he'll be the first man to push the team. He never gives up," the Brentford star added.
Osimhen scored 26 goals to finish as Serie A’s top scorer last season as he led Napoli to their first league title in 33 years and could be set for a summer move to England.
Onyeka points difference with Toney
Meanwhile, Onyeka believes Toney is an all-round player who can drop deep into midfield as compared to Osimhen, who he described as more of a goal-hunter.
"Ivan is an all-round player, he can go anywhere, he can come down into the midfield. Osimhen is like a target man, he wants to fight the defenders and get every ball. Both are great strikers."
Klopp is irreplaceable, says Liverpool assistant manager Lijnders
FootballBrentford manager, Thomas Frank, previously stated Toney could be worth £100 million if he's sold by the English club this summer while Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentis, has confirmed any club willing to buy Osimhen must be willing to pay at least £110mil.
Petit predicts Osimhen’s next club
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former French football star, Emmanuel Petit, believes Osimhen is more likely to join Man United or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
The Red Devils and the Parisians, alongside Chelsea and Arsenal, are the four clubs that have been linked with the Napoli ace ahead of the summer transfer window.
