Formula 1Liverpool vs Manchester City: Alexander Arnold Shades Opponents Ahead of Anfield Clash
- Trent Alexander-Arnold has taken a swipe at Manchester City's recent successes
- Manchester City have won more trophies than Liverpool in the Pep Guardiola era
- The full-back, however, believes that their victories 'mean more' to them and their fans
Trent Alexander-Arnold has kicked off the mind games ahead of Liverpool's epic showdown with Manchester City this weekend.
The clash at Anfield has been touted as the 'game of the season,' as Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola face off for the last time in the Premier League.
The game has risen to become a modern-day rivalry, though it has often been lopsided to City's advantage. Guardiola's side has beaten Liverpool twice to the Premier League title by a single point.
That same point separates them at the top of the table, with Arsenal also forcing themselves into the discussion for the 2023/2024 honours.

Alexander-Arnold: Our trophies 'mean more'
Alexander-Arnold has now taken a swipe at Manchester City's recent successes, boldly claiming that Liverpool's trophies 'mean more.'
"It's tough. We're up against a machine built to win - that's the simplest way to describe City and their organisation. Looking back on this era, although they've won more titles than us and have probably been more successful, our trophies will mean more to us and our fanbase because of the situations at both clubs, financially," he told 442 via the Mirror.
Guardiola's side are still living in uncharted territory after they were accused of flouting 115 counts of alleged financial offences. Sports Brief has previously expounded on the possible punishments they could face if found guilty.
Both sides have each won one Champions League title, but Guardiola has four more Premier League titles than Klopp and a host of other domestic cups.

Man City and Liverpool's unbeaten home runs
Sports Brief recently compared the unbeaten home runs of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League.
The defending champions have embarked on a 25-match winning streak at the Etihad Stadium, while Liverpool haven't tasted defeat at Anfield since last season.
