TS Galaxy head coach, Sead Ramovic, has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a female driver in a recent accident involving the team bus.

Although none of the players or staff sustained injuries, the driver of the VW Polo involved in the accident tragically passed away, as reported by the Citizen.

In light of this devastating event, the Rockets submitted a request to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to postpone their scheduled DStv Premiership match against Mamelodi Sundowns, which was approved.

Ramovic conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased driver, acknowledging the pain they must be experiencing. He stressed that playing a game the following day would be insensitive and disrespectful to the loss suffered by the family.

The coach commended the league for prioritizing human life by granting the request for postponement.

"We thank the league for thinking about this and allowing the match to be postponed. It shows that our league also cares about human life," said Ramovic, as quoted by iDiski Times.

As of now, a new date for the fixture is yet to be determined.

Aside from the tragic accident, anticipation for the match was heightened due to the ongoing tension between Ramovic and Sundowns coach, Rulani Mokwena.

The rift between the two coaches originated from allegations made by the German regarding a conversation between Mokwena and South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos. The TS Galaxy boss denied the Masandawana manager's claims and questioned the accuracy of his narrative.

Ramovic questions controversial penalty reversal

Sports Brief reported that Ramovic was bewildered over a contentious penalty decision reversed during his team's 2-0 defeat to Cape Town Spurs.

The match saw both Spurs' goals scored in the first half after a lacklustre start from the Rockets.

Galaxy believed they had a chance to claw back in the second half after the referee initially awarded them a penalty following an alleged foul on Samir Nurkovic, only for him to retract his decision shortly after.
