Two English Premier League sides are said to be interested in the signing of a Super Eagles defender who represented Nigeria at the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The three-time African champions failed to win the trophy in Ivory Coast as they lost to the host nation 2-1 in the competition's final.

Nigerian players' performance at the tournament showcased some of their talents to European suitors, especially those not playing in the Premier League.

Most of the top performers for Nigeria at the competition have been linked with moves away from their present clubs, with Bright Osayi-Samuel being one of them.

According to a report by NTVSpor, as per Daily Post, EPL clubs Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers are scrambling for the signature for the signature of the Nigerian defender in the summer.

Both Premier League clubs are also said to face strong competition from Championship side and long-term admirers, Leeds United.

The 26-year-old right fullback is currently playing his club football with Turkish Super League giant Fenerbahce and has a contract with the club that will expire in 2025.

The Nigerian international is no stranger to English football, as he had previously turned out for Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers in the lower leagues.
