Premier League 2023/24 Top Scorers

1. Erling Haaland (Manchester City, 18 goals)

Haaland extended his lead in the Premier League Golden Boot race to two goals after nabbing a late strike against Manchester United on Sunday.

He took full advantage of some sloppy play from Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat, with Haaland scoring off a pass from Rodri.

It was Haaland's 18th goal of the season and his sixth against United in four Premier League meetings.

2. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa, 16 goals)

Watkins jumped to second place after netting a brace in Aston Villa's 3-2 win over Luton Town on Sunday.

He opened the scoring for Villa in the 24th minute with a header from Leon Bailey's corner. He doubled their lead in the 38th minute after applying a cool finish to Douglas Luiz's perfect pass over the top.

With that first-half double, Watkins stretched his goal tally for the season to 16, per Yahoo Sports.

3. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, 15 goals)

The Egyptian star lost ground in the Golden Boot race after he failed to play again for Liverpool on Matchday 27. Salah remained sidelined as he is still dealing with a hamstring issue initially picked up during the Africa Cup of Nations.

All is not lost, though, for Salah, as Jurgen Klopp said he's close to returning to the side. He currently trails Haaland by three goals heading into Matchday 28.

4. Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth, 14 goals)

Solanke lost ground in the Golden Boot race after he failed to find the back of the net in Bournemouth's 2-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday.

The Cherries star dropped to fourth place with 14 goals scored this season. His last goal came against Newcastle United on February 17.

4. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United, 14 goals)

Bowen grabbed the headlines last Monday when he became the hat-trick hero in West Ham United's 4-2 win over Brentford.

There were no goals scored for Bowen over the weekend, causing him to drop to fourth in the scoring charts after Matchday 27.

Haaland's goals vs. Man Utd

Sports Brief recently reported on Haaland's goals against Manchester United.

He has scored in three out of four Premier League meetings with the Red Devils.

Haaland scored a hat-trick in his first-ever Manchester derby.
