According to the BBC, the match saw Suarez bag his first goals for the Florida-based club, with the former Liverpool star also scoring a brace.

The Uruguayan needed just four minutes to score the opener before he doubled the advantage in the 11th minute.

Robert Taylor made it 3-0 for Inter Miami before the half-hour mark, with Messi joining the goal fest in the second half with a double.

Messi joins Ronaldo in exclusive club

Sportskeeda reports that Messi's brace took his tally to 500 league goals, enough to help him join Ronaldo in an exclusive club of players who have scored as many times.

Ronaldo achieved the feat in 2022, with his famed rival hitting the same milestone in 67 games fewer than the Al-Nassr superstar.

Messi scored a huge chunk of his 500 league goals during his illustrious career with Spanish giants, Barcelona.

The 36-year-old scored 474 La Liga goals with the Catalan side and 22 Ligue 1 goals during his tumultuous spell with Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo currently has 534 league goals in 687 appearances and an overall tally of 877 goals for club and country.

Messi leaves teammate in awe with English skills

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Messi leaving Inter Miami teammates in awe with his English speaking skills.

A native of Rosario, Argentina, the veteran did not have to learn English after moving to Barcelona at a young age.

Messi's teammate at Inter Miami, Julian Gressel, has now shed light on what the veteran's English sounds like.
