- Interim coach Cavin Johnson has disclosed that three of his key players will be absent from the game
- Amakhosi will head into the fixture coming off their loss to Milford FC as they exited the Nedbank Cup
The interim coach of Kaizer Chiefs Football Club, Cavin Johnson, has lamented that three of his key players are injured as they take on Moroka Swallows.
Johnson provided an injury update on his squad ahead of the mouthwatering Soweto derby clash scheduled for Saturday, March 2.
Fans anticipate nothing less than a victory for Amakhosi after they crashed out of the Nedbank Cup, losing to Milford FC in the Round of 32.
On the other hand, Chiefs have been able to sustain an impressive record in the league, as they are unbeaten in their last five DStv Premiership matches.

However, Amakhosi have only managed to score four goals in their last seven matches, raising concerns about their strike force ahead of the Swallows game.
Johnson stated that Tebogo Potsane, George Matlou, and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe would be absent due to injuries.
He told iDiski Times:
“Everybody is available except that Potsane has a little hernia injury. George is still out, just recovering from operations. TT is still recovering. Redemption is probably a good word for our team.
“We’ve prepared well; the boys have taken the loss against Milford not easy, and we are preparing as we speak to make sure that we take Swallows to FNB and do our best.”
The match between Chiefs and Swallows kicks off at 17:45 local time at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
