Kylian Mbappe openly 'identifies' surprise Premier League club he could join this summer
FootballKylian Mbappe: Emmanuel Macron Cracks Joke on Impending Real Madrid Transfer
- Kylian Mbappe met with President Macron of France and Emir of Qatar
- The details of the meeting remain scanty amid Real Madrid rumours
- Mbappe is reportedly set to dump PSG and move to Spain this summer
France President Emmanuel Macron seemingly waded into Kylian Mbappe's transfer news with a subtle joke on February 27.
Mbappe honoured the President's invitation for dinner at the Elysée Palace. The dinner was also attended by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani.
The meeting prompted questions about whether Macron will attempt to change Mbappe's mind about his impending exit from Paris Saint-Germain.
News broke out last week that the World Cup-winning striker had informed PSG that he won't be exercising the option of extending his contract by one year at the end of the season.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the 25-year-old has already agreed on a five-year deal with Real Madrid, his long-term admirers.
The presence of the Emir of Qatar, the country that primarily sponsors PSG, had fans thinking that Mbappe's mind may be changed for a second time in this long transfer saga.
What Macron said to Mbappe
Macron then made a joke as he warmly greeted the Monaco academy graduate, saying,
"You are going to create more trouble for us," as quoted by PSG Talk.
The context of the statement isn't known, but the French leader has, in the past, stepped in to prevent Mabppe from moving to Real Madrid.
PSG fans boo Mbappe
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Mbappe was jeered by PSG supporters during a Ligue 1 match against Rennes.
It was the first time the striker was playing since news of his imminent exit broke out. He was taken off in the 65th minute by head coach Luis Enrique, with the fans booing him off the pitch.
It was a surprising decision by Enrique as his side was trailing to an Amine Gouiri first-half goal. Goncalo Ramos rescued a point in stoppage time by scoring from the penalty spot.
