The 63-year-old Portuguese tactician expressed his intentions to carefully consider his options before deciding.

“I told everyone to come back at the end of the month. What is certain is that I want to continue coaching and I need to choose wisely. At this moment, I repeat, all options remain possible. I received a lot of options, and a lot of contacts from national teams or clubs," said Peseiro, as quoted by Complete Sports.

Acknowledging the need for rest and reflection, he stressed his intention to evaluate the proposals and projects.

William Troost-Ekong backs Peseiro

William Troost-Ekong, a key player for the Super Eagles, expressed his support for Peseiro to continue as the team's coach.

Ekong highlighted the significance of reaching the AFCON final and suggested that the team could build upon this achievement under Peseiro's guidance.

"Yes. I think the players are happy with him. Reaching the [AFCON] final is something significant and also something we can build on," Ekong said, as reported by All Nigeria Soccer.

Peseiro took charge of Nigeria in May 2022, overseeing 22 matches with a record of 11 wins, four draws, and seven losses. Notable achievements, including the recent AFCON success, have marked his tenure.

Meanwhile, Walid Sadi, the newly appointed president of the Algeria Football Federation, is also expected to decide whether to proceed with plans to establish Peseiro as the national team's next coach.

The Super Eagles boss and Vladimir Petkovic have reportedly received offers from the Algerian federation.
