The Super Falcons of Nigeria have booked a place in the fourth round of the CAF Women's Olympic qualifier for the 2024 edition in Paris after beating Cameroon.
A first half from Esther Okonkwo gave the Falcons the deserved 1-0 win over the Indomitable Lionesses at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Monday evening (February 26).
The first leg of the tie ended in a goalless draw in Douala, which left the tie open for the second leg in Abuja.
The last time the Nigerian women's national team featured at the Olympics was 16 years ago in Beijing, China, and we are hoping to break the jinx this year.

The Super Falcons started the game as the best side, but the Cameroonian defence dealt with an early effort from Okoronkwo.
Four minutes later, the UD Tenerife forward finally opened the scoring for Randy Waldrum's side.
The Super Falcons posed more threats going forward in the game but could not add to their tally as the Cameroonian defence was up to the task.
The Lionesses finished the game with 10 women after Enganemben Annie gets sent off for unsporting conduct.
The West African giants go through on a 1-0 aggregate and will face the winner between South Africa or Tanzania for one of the two tickets for the tournament in Paris scheduled for April.
