South African coach Pitso Mosimane has won a FIFA case against Saudi Professional League side, Al Ahli, and is set to receive millions of Rands in the process.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach joined the Saudi club on September 24, 2022, on a contract until 2023 with an option, and helped the Jeddah club gain promotion to the top flight that season.
The 59-year-old's contract with the club included a huge bonus clause if he gets promoted to the SPL, and his deal with the club would automatically be extended.
According to iDiskiTimes, the former Bafana Bafana boss was paid $1,166,000, equal to R22.5 million, as annual salary for the 2022-23 season.

The annual salary is equivalent to $139,500 (R2.7 million) monthly until May 2023.
Terms not met in Mosimane's contract
Mosimane claimed the Saudi club agreed to pay him a bonus of $144,000 (R2.8 million) if they get promoted to the SPL that season and another $72,000 (R1.4 million) if he wins the division league.
The contract included four return business class tickets from Jeddah and Johannesburg and a salary of $1,440,000 (R27.8 million) for the automatic extension of his deal with the club.
The former Al Ahly manager then took Al Ahli to FIFA after failing to meet the bonus clauses in his contract and also owing him and his technical team outstanding payments.
FIFA rule in favour of Mosimane
The football governing body, FIFA, released an official statement to explain Mosimane's case with the SPL club.
"In his [Mosimane's] claim, the claimant argued that the respondent [Ahli] failed to pay various salaries, far more than two months, despite being put in default and granted 15 days to remedy the default before unilaterally terminating the contract," the statement reads.

FIFA has now ruled in favour of the Abha Club coach with Al Ahli due to pay him $355,500 (R6.9 million) as outstanding remuneration, which will include a 5% interest, $786,000 (R15.2 million) for breaching the contract without cause, which also comes with a 5% interest.
The Saudi club will pay the South African coach close to R22 million in total, equivalent to $1.14 million.
How Kaizer Chiefs could land Mosimane
Sports Brief earlier reported that Mosimane remains a Kaizer Chiefs target despite is deal with Saudi side Abha Club.
The Amakhosi have yet to appoint a permanent manager, as Cavin Johnson is serving in an interim capacity.
