Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the football scene for years, with the pair's dominance and longevity helping them win multiple titles and individual awards.

To put their success into perspective, the two football icons have won an impressive 13 Ballon d'Or awards between them, with Messi winning it a record-extending eight times.

Ole names his football GOAT

However, when asked who the football GOAT is, Ole snubbed Messi and Ronaldo, with the legendary Manchester United striker opting for the former's countryman.

Speaking to the National News, the Norwegian declared Diego Maradona the greatest footballer of all time.

“Maradona is the greatest ever player,” Solskjaer insisted to National News.
“And I was lucky enough to meet him. He didn’t really speak English. It was at Old Trafford when I was the Cardiff manager and watched United v Liverpool. We got battered," he continued.

Meanwhile, Ole is currently out of football management, nearly two years since he was sacked by the Red Devils.

The former striker was shown the door at Old Trafford in November 2021 after a disastrous run of form and results.

However, he has already been linked with a stunning return to football management, with Bayern Munich said to be keen on his services.

According to Sky Sports, Ole is on Bayern's shortlist of managers they are eyeing to replace Thomas Tuchel, who is set to depart the club at the end of the season.
