Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, has been nominated among the most skilful players in the Bundesliga this season for his outstanding display for table-toppers, Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Punch NG, Boniface will contest for the Bundesliga skilful player award against Borussia Dortmund returnee Jadon Sancho, Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric, and RB Leipzig youngster Xavi Simons.

The Super Eagles striker has caught the world's attention with his move to Germany, becoming one of the leading goalscorers in the Bundesliga with 10 goals before his groin injury.

Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen from Union SG last season, and his performances in the Bundesliga have reportedly attracted top clubs like Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal, who are considering making a summer bid for his services.

Chelsea keen on Leverkusen's Boniface

Meanwhile, Chelsea have identified Bayer Leverkusen striker Boniface as a top transfer target for the Blues in the summer, ESPN reports.

The 23-year-old Super Eagles forward has 10 goals and seven assists in 16 Bundesliga appearances this season and is reportedly valued at around €40m by Die Werkself.

Boniface’s current deal with Leverkusen runs until 2028, but Chelsea are confident they can strike a deal for the forward, who has been touted to move to a bigger club by pundits in the summer transfer window.

Why Boniface should leave Leverkusen

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that top European clubs such as Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan, Chelsea, and Arsenal have reportedly expressed interest in Boniface ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian is on the verge of making history with Leverkusen should they go on to win their first-ever Bundesliga title as they lead Bayern Munich by eight points in the title race, but Sports Brief expects him to make a bigger move in the summer.

After scoring 16 goals in all competitions this season, it's no wonder that all of Europe's best clubs are keeping an eye on Boniface and will lure him with a big offer to switch teams.
