Sports Brief looks at the top five leading goal scorers since the competition was rebranded to its current name in 2009.

Europa League all-time top scorers

1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabonese striker has scored 31 goals in the competition, playing for four clubs: Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Marseille. Despite his record, Auba has never won the competition and reached the final only once, with the Gunners in 2019, where they lost 4-1 to Chelsea in Baku.

2. Radamel Falcao

Falcao scored 30 Europa League goals for FC Porto and Atletico Madrid. He won in back-to-back seasons, 2010/11 and 2011/12, scoring 17 and 12 goals, respectively, plus one more goal in the 2012/13 season. Per 90min, he was the first player to win it with two different teams.

3. Aritz Aduriz

Athletic Bilbao legend, Aduriz, scored 26 goals in the Europa League and was the top scorer in two seasons: 2015/16 and 2017/18. All his goals in the competition came for the Spanish club, where he spent most of his career.

3. Romelu Lukaku

The big Belgian has scored 26 goals in Europe's secondary competition, playing for Anderlecht, Everton, Inter Milan, and AS Roma. Per BBC Sports, he holds the record for scoring in 14 consecutive games, a streak that ended when Roma lost 2-0 away at Slavia Prague. He reached the final with Inter in the 2019/20 season but lost to Sevilla.

4. Munas Dabbur

Israeli striker, Munas Dabbur, netted 24 goals in the competition, playing for Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Salzburg, Sevilla, and Hoffenheim. He won the trophy with Sevilla in 2020, his only season at the club.

Europa League’s most successful managers

Sports Brief has also reported on the Europa League’s most successful managers, with Aston Villa boss, Unai Emery, leading the pack with four finals played and won in total.

The Spanish manager won three consecutive titles with Sevilla between 2014 and 2016. He won his fourth in 2021, leading Villarreal to victory against Manchester United.
