TS Galaxy head coach disclosed an expletive-filled phone call with Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Rulani Mokwena, last year.

Ramovic was responding to Mokwena's remarks earlier this week, where he said he called South Africa coach Hugo Broos and Ramovic to raise his dissatisfaction.

Mokwena and Ramovic's spat started in October 2023 after TS Galaxy's victory over Sundowns in the Carling Black Label Knockout Cup Round of 16.

Mokwena said Masandawana lost the game because he didn't have some of his best players, who were called up for Bafana Bafana's friendly matches.

Ramovic later said the young manager "disrespected" him, his players, and his staff. Ramovic added that Mokwena was making up excuses despite having an expensively assembled squad, per Far Post.

Hugo Broos reportedly called Mokwena "South Africa Mourinho" in his country, Belgium, before the 2023 AFCON.

Ramovic discloses Mokwena call

On Wednesday, February 22, Ramovic disclosed details of his phone conversation with the Sundowns coach after going on a rant, per iDiski Times.

“I picked up the phone, and he started to yell, to scream, and he told me – I will just make it short because he spoke to me for 10 minutes with a lot of nonsense – but what he told it was ‘who the (expletive) are you to come to my (expletive) country and talk to me like this?’ I just quote him. ‘Do you know who my parents are? Be careful how you talk because you are in my (expletive) country’".
“After that, I told him that I don’t care who your parents are and then he dropped the phone. This was his high standard of morals," Ramovic said.

In December, Ramovic and Galaxy were beaten in the Carling Knockout final by Stellenbosch FC. Galaxy are seventh in the PSL with 24 points from 16 matches.

Mokwena addresses Ramovic, Broos

Sports Brief earlier reported on Mokwena responding to Ramovic and Broos before their Nedbank Cup last 32 clash against La Masia.

The 37-year-old tactician said he called both coaches to settle their issues.

"You are all familiar with some of the things that my colleague at TS Galaxy has said, and I picked up the phone, and I called him directly and raised my displeasure."
