Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Real Madrid star, solidifies his legendary status by continuing to exhibit sportsmanship, as evidenced by his recent gesture of gifting his jersey to another player after Al-Nassr's victory over Al Fayha in the AFC Champions League.

The Knights of Najd are through to the competition's quarter-final after their 3-0 aggregate win over Al Fayha in the Round of 16.

Portuguese international Otavio gave Luis Castro's side the lead in the first half after being set up by Al-Khaibari in the 17th minute.

The club captain completed the job four minutes before the full-time whistle as he pounced on a mistake by Al Fayha goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic, according to a report by Sports Illustrated.

Ronaldo gifts Nwakaeme his jersey

In a video shared on social media, the veteran forward was seen gifting his jersey to Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme after the match.

Nwakaeme plays for Al Fayha alongside fellow countryman Henry Onyekuru; both players could not stop Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates from progressing to the next round.

The Super Eagles striker has scored five goals in 16 appearances in all competition for the Orange.

Ronaldo salutes Al-Nassr fans

Sports Brief earlier reported that Ronaldo appreciated Al-Nassr fans after the Knights of Najd progressed to the quarter-finals of the 2023/24 AFC Champions League on Wednesday.

The former Real Madrid star, who clinched the title of top goal scorer worldwide in 2023, has continued his sensational form since the resumption of competitive football in Asia.

The Portuguese international took to his official handle on X to share both his joy and gratitude for Al-Nassr's latest achievement.
