Son Heung-min has broken his silence days after it emerged that he was involved in an altercation with his international teammate.
Earlier this month, Son and his South Korea teammate, Lee Kang-in, had a reported bust-up, which allegedly led to the Tottenham Hotspur star injuring his finger.
Son, captain of the South Korea team, was reportedly left angered by some of the younger players who left a team meal early to play ping-pong. Lee was among those players.
An altercation ensued and the pair had to be separated by teammates, per The Mirror.

The Tottenham star ended up playing with a dislocated finger, reportedly sustained during the scuffle with Lee, in South Korea's 2-0 defeat to Jordan.
Son issues statement about Lee incident
The Tottenham star has broken his silence on social media with a telling statement via his Instagram, translated as follows:
"Hello, this is Heung Min Son. Going to talk a little scarily and difficultly today. Kang-in sincerely reflected on himself and apologised to all the players on the team, including me."
While acknowledging that younger players were bound to make mistakes, Son passionately defended Lee while issuing an apology on behalf of the midfielder.
"Kang-in is having a hard time after that work. Forgive me with a grudging heart for once, as captain of the team! I'm asking you to do this."
Son added that with stories from one viewpoint, the team unity was often affected.

This statement comes a week after Lee issued an apology for ‘disappointment caused to fans’. The 23-year-old PSG midfielder vowed to be 'a better player and person' while supporting the senior players.
Son attends fashion week in London
Days before his apology, Son attended the London Fashion Week, where he linked up with former Tottenham stars like Gareth Bale and Dele Alli.
As Sports Brief has also reported, the South Korean skipper, alongside Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka, is an ambassador for luxury brand, Burberry.
