FootballThembinkosi Lorch to Focus on Mamelodi Sundowns’ Hunt for Trophies After Natasha Thahane Split
- Thembinkosi Lorch has had a year of professional and personal change so far
- Rulani Mokwena left Lorch on the bench for their Nedbank Cup tie with NB La Masia
- Lorch's girlfriend, Natasha Thahane, announced the couple's split via social media
A changing of the calendar has given Thembinkosi Lorch a fresh view on life.
The celebrity footballer has swapped one glamour club for another and is now a single man again after separating from the mother of one of his children.
Lorch made his debut for Mamelodi Sundowns in a 1-1 draw at Loftus Stadium against Orlando Pirates, days before Natasha Thahane told the world about their personal stalemate.
One positive for Rulani Mokwena's new signing is that he is eligible for the CAF Champions League, which Sundowns return to after their Nedbank Cup tie with NB La Masia.

Orlando Pirates had registered Lorch for this season's CAF Champions League but he avoided being cup-tied as he was injured during their preliminary round exit, as per FARPost.
Lorch travelled for Sundowns' Nedbank Cup tie away at NB La Masia and next goes to Mauritania for the continental group game against Nouadhibou.
Given the overworked Masandawana squad, it was a surprise to see Lorch left on the bench for their Nedbank Cup tie against NB La Masia, as it could have been an opportunity to find his feet in a less pressurised atmosphere.
On the personal front, Lorch will want a smoother 2024 than the previous year. The playmaker was last year convicted of assault GBH following an incident with a previous girlfriend.
He has the opportunity to start afresh after splitting with his latest love, Natasha Thahane. The actress, model and influencer rounded off a below-par weekend for Lorch as she announced on Instagram that they were now both romantic free agents.
