Lorch was one of the four players signed by Sundowns in the January transfer window. Zuko Mdunyelwa, Matias Esquivel, and Tashreeq Matthews are other players who joined the league leaders.

Speaking to Sundowns Magazine, Lorch said he is ready to help his new team lift more trophies.

"I promise them that they are going to enjoy my football. I will do my best for us to win more and add to what the team has already achieved this season and the previous ones. Your support means everything and I am committed to giving my all for the team and our loyal Sandawana supporters."

Lorch spent eight years at Pirates and made 176 appearances, contributing 34 goals and 30 assists. He won three MTN8 titles and one Nedbank Cup, per Far Post.

He also won the 2019 PSL Footballer of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season. Rulani Mokwena's side are hoping Lorch's signing can help them lift their second CAF Champions League title.
